A Note from DT

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

The original language in the above verse is speaking about what it means to walk through life as someone who is a mature son/daughter of God.  Maturity comes from hearing the voice of the Lord and following Him.

Have you ever been in a place where you were seeking to hear the Lord for direction but didn’t feel like you had anything clear?  Often times I have found that the direction that I was seeking from Him wasn’t direction at all. Many times the direction we are looking for is unlocked when we are faithful to cultivate that which He is doing internally concerning the wholeness of our heart.  It isn’t so much of a direction issue as it is a heart issue.  God brings us into a revelation of His nature leading us toward freedom and when we are established in it the door opens and the path is illuminated.  Internal breakthrough results in external breakthrough.

If you’ve found yourself in that place of feeling like you need direction take some time to be still and clear your mind. Ask Him what He is doing in you right now.  Ask Him for His strategy.  Many times seeking direction is simply a distraction that keeps us from seeing what God wants to do right now. Strategy > direction because it actually unlocks the path.  When we are faithful to cultivate that which matters that act of faithfulness causes the doors of His direction to open at exactly the right time.  Much of this life seems to be a process of learning this…at least to me anyways.
