A Note from DT

Psalm 37:34 Wait for the LORD and keep His way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land;

Several years ago I felt that the Lord had given me instructions concerning the season of life that I was in. The instruction was that in every situation that I would find myself, my objective was to react in the fruit of His Spirit. The instructions seemed vague but when I broke down what was being asked of me I realized that this was actually a blueprint for living a life that manifests the Kingdom…Keep His Way

We all have different relationships and responsibilities in life. Many are what we consider to be ‘secular’ like a job or task that we perform on a regular basis.  But what if our actual real job is to abide in the Lord in such a way that the wholeness that comes from His covenant with us manifests as fruit in even the most secular environments?  What if our job is to simply keep His way?   What if, when we manifest something less than His fruit it would cause us to connect with Him and exchange our woundedness for healing so that we are grafted back into His tree and bear His fruit…?  It is time.

Many times people get stuck in a place of searching out their next move or the next door of opportunity to walk through but what if it’s actually a lot simpler than we’ve made it…?

I’ve known a lot of people who waste their life claiming that they are ‘waiting on the Lord’ for their next move or for God to open a door of opportunity for them. I know people who have been in that place for years and, if I can be blunt, I think many will live their entire life in that state.  Many times the opportunity is right in front of them but they run from it of because of their own discomfort and unwillingness to deal with their own issues. The truth is that there is so much that God has for us to inherit and most of the time what we consider to be ‘waiting’ for something in the external is actually a misunderstanding concerning what God is doing with us internally. The simplicity of learning to abide in the Lord in all things and to walk in His wholeness is absolutely paramount.

The Point.  Waiting on the Lord can be a real thing, but there are instructions in the waiting and that is to keep His way. This means that we are dealing with the issues of our own hearts so that we no longer walk in our old ways. Those who are led of the Spirit of God are the true children of God and that which is going on in our internal world is what actually causes the movement of the external world.  Do we really wait on God or is it actually in reverse…? I can prove by the scriptures that it’s reverse but for sake of time I think you get the point.  Simply put, being faithful to cultivate the way of the Lord, abiding in Him, manifesting His fruit and dealing ruthlessly with everything that contradicts who He has said we are is the way we are called to live this life.  This is a mindset of seeking His Kingdom reality which is promised to bring us into a life of fulfillment.  It is time.
